Illume is a blend of two vineyards in Dutton Ranch - Mill Station and Sullivan. Dutton Ranch is universally regarded as one of the finest Chardonnay vineyards in California. The Dutton family's vineyards are located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County about 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The slowly ripened grapes from the 38-year-old vines produce a Burgundian style wine with a balance of ripe intensity, subtle elegance, and great depth.

This wine captures the essence of the true Sonoma Coast with its complex aromatics, weightless elegance and lingering finish. This single vineyard wine comes from Hellenthal Vineyard, which lies 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean just above the fog line at 1,200 feet elevation. Its extreme growing conditions and very low yields allow for the extraordinary development of Pinot Noir.
